WE'RE TREV & KELL!

We fell in love with coffee so many years ago, in the early days experimenting with our home espresso machine, stovetop, v60, syphon, the simple plunger, a percolator, steeping and then our favourite... cold drip coffee.

We had an opportunity to open our own Coffee Shop in 2014 and although espresso-based coffee was the norm, we soon had people asking for our cold drip coffee.

Bundaberg Coffee the brand, the idea, was born October 2014 in the regional town of Bundaberg. In the beginning, it was more of a scientific experiment trialling different origin beans, roasting, grinds, volumes, drip rates, water temperature etc, all to find the perfect balance of intensity and smoothness. From our research we came up with 3 bean blend that we believe is the right blend for our cold drip brewing method, it produces a balanced and reliable flavour profile.

What we did was throw out the rule book and brew it our way!

We have expanded our business and brew on a much larger scale whilst still keeping the control of microbrewing.

The goal, the vision has always been to produce absolute quality, refined cold drip coffee….

Our Brewing Process

Quite simply put, we drip a measured volume of pure spring water through our ground coffee for various lengths of time, depending on the type of coffee being brewed. We have spent many years perfecting grind, volumes, temperatures and drip times.

We have maintained the ethos of craft brewing during our expansion and increased production. This gives us complete control and maintains the very highest standard and consistency we pride ourselves on.

Our first multi drip set up was constructed using recycled timber and water pipe. It’s still our favourite.

Our Cold Drip Coffee

A lot of Cold Drip and Cold Brew coffee is recommended to only be drunk black. Our experience in the café has shown us that the majority of people enjoy milk based coffee, be that of cows milk or alternative milks. We have brewed our Cold Drip to be quite the all star, pairing beautifully with cows milk and a variety of alternative milks, especially almond and soy. Not to mention its outstanding flavour and freshness as a sparkling long black.
