CRAFT BREWERS OF COLD DRIP COFFEE
The Cold Drip method, is a process of extraction using a measured quantity of coffee combined with slow dripping water, to brew a most wonderful and delicious cold coffee that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. We brew a little different to most, resulting in a clean, full bodied, rich coffee concentrate without the acidic oils typically found in coffee extracted at higher temperatures.
Cold Drip Coffee is vastly different to Cold Brew coffee. Cold Drip is clean, refined, full bodied and more complex. With the Cold Drip method, we are able to bring out the subtle characteristics of our three bean blend.
Traditional coffee brewing methods use heat to extract oils and caffeine from the coffee. Our Cold Drip process uses time instead of heat, resulting in a coffee extraction that is higher in caffeine and almost zero acidity. This makes it easier on both the palate and digestive system, also reducing the need for sweetener and processed sugars. So the health benefits of Cold Drip Coffee should also be noted.
The Cold Drip method, doesn’t cause as many oils to be released from the coffee bean, therefore you are less likely to have issues with acid reflux, heartburn, and other gastrointestinal conditions.
